Details
At Edinburgh he was awarded the Chiene medal and prize in surgery. He was at one time house surgeon at the British Hospital in Paris and in the war of 1914-18 served as a Captain in the RAMC. He became consulting surgeon to the Royal Infirmary, Sheffield and lecturer in surgery at the University of Sheffield. He was particularly interested in the surgery of the hand and in tendon injuries. He died in Edinburgh on 27 February 1963.
