Details
Born in Bhavnagar on 15 September 1903, he was educated at the Elphinstone High School, the Elphinstone College and the Royal Institute of Science, Bombay. He received his medical education at Grant Medical College, Bombay from 1923 to 1928, and was appointed house surgeon and surgical registrar at the King Edward Memorial Hospital. In 1930 he came to England and worked as a clinical assistant in the Ear Nose and Throat department at St Bartholomew's Hospital. He was admitted a Fellow of the College in 1933. Returning to Bombay he was elected to the staff of his old Hospital and College, where his contributions to the surgical literature of India were numerous. Munsif was a founder Member of the Association of Surgeons of India. He died in the early part of 1959 aged 56.
