Details
Born in 1894 he received his medical education at St Bartholomew's Hospital, where he became a house surgeon and later chief assistant in the surgical unit. During the war of 1914-18 he served in the RAMC and was at one time attached to the 1st London General Hospital. In 1925 he was in partnership with Doctors von Bergen and Reichwald in Leatherhead, Surrey, but by 1930 he had moved to Torquay where he became senior surgeon to the Torbay, Dartmouth, Paignton and Dawlish Hospitals. A founder member of the SW England Surgical Club, he became its President. He died on 4 April 1960 survived by his wife Kathleen, a son and two daughters.
