Details
Frank Burke was educated at Melbourne University and qualified in 1929. From 1932, when he took his MD degree, to 1934 he was medical superintendent of the Royal Melbourne Hospital. He then came to England and took the Fellowship in 1935; returning to Melbourne he took the Australasian Fellowship in 1937; and from 1939 to 1946 was acting surgeon to outpatients at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, becoming surgeon to inpatients at Prince Henry's Hospital in 1946. Burke practised at 6 Queen's Street, Melbourne and resided at 90 The Esplanade, Brighton Beach, Melbourne. He died after a short illness on 28 December 1965.
