Details
Abdel Fatah Mostafa was born on 31 December 1932 at Sält, in Jordan, his father having been a merchant at that city. He was the eldest son and was educated at the Sält government school and the University of Cairo where he graduated in Medicine in 1957. Later he came to Britain for training in surgery, and took the Edinburgh and the English Fellowships in 1966. In 1970 he married Hiyam Musmar and they had one daughter. He died in London on 16 June 1972 after a gall-bladder operation
