Howard Calvin Smith was licenced to practice medicine in California in 1946. He took the Membership and Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1960. Returning to the USA he joined the faculty of the Medical School of Loma Linda University in California. He moved to Mexico in the mid 70's and taught at the University of Montemorelos. He was a member of the International College of Surgeons and of the American Academy of General Practice. He is assumed to have died sometime in 1980.
