Details
Mark Coleman received his medical education at University College Hospital Medical School, passing the Conjoint Diploma in 1927 and graduated MB BS in 1928. He obtained the Fellowship in 1931 and in the same year gained the Mastership of Surgery, and was awarded the Bilton Pollard Fellowship in 1938. After junior appointments at the Hospital for Sick Children and the Royal Northern Hospital, he became surgical registrar at University College Hospital and was later surgeon to Bishops Stortford and the Hertfordshire and Essex Hospitals, Bishops Stortford. In 1968 he moved to Rhodesia (later Zimbabwe) where he was for a time surgical specialist at the Mpilo Centre Hospital, Bulawayo. He died on 20 January 1986, aged 80 years.
