:
George Crile studied medicine at Harvard, qualifying in 1933. He became a general surgeon in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1940. He was presented with the honorary Fellowship at the Council meeting of Thursday 13 April 1978, when the citation was delivered by Mr Selwyn Taylor. He died in 1992.
