Details
Noel Fowler qualified MB BS at Sydney University in 1942 and was resident medical officer at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney from 1942 to 1943 and served as a captain in the Australian Army Medical Corps from 1943 to 1947. Coming to Britain to work for his Fellowship he obtained house posts at the Leicester Royal Infirmary and at the Royal Cancer Hospital, before becoming a registrar at the Royal Masonic Hospital and at the Derbyshire Royal Infirmary, Derby. Returning to Australia after gaining the Fellowship he was visiting medical officer at the Royal North Shore and St George's Hospitals, Sydney, from 1951 to 1983, before becoming consultant at those hospitals in 1984. His death was reported to the College in May 1996 as having occurred on 27 October 1995.
