Details
Peter McArthur went from Cambridge to St Bartholomew's to do his clinical studies and after doing house jobs did registrarships in Nottingham and Sheffield before becoming lecturer and honorary senior registrar to the United Liverpool Hospitals. He was appointed consultant surgeon to Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury. He died on 20 July 2000 aged 62 years after a determined fight against cancer. He was survived by his wife, Judith, children Alex and Hilary, and grandchildren Letty, Daisy and Willow.
