Details
Kenneth Barker was a general surgeon at Wharfedale General Hospital, Otley, West Yorkshire. Born on 15 November 1930, he studied medicine at Leeds University graduating MB ChB in 1954. After house jobs at the General Infirmary in Leeds he passed the fellowship of the college in 1962 and was appointed to the Wharfdale Hospital where he worked for 23 years. On retiring to Scotland he continued to enjoy his favourite interests which were stamp collecting, DIY and fine dining. He died on 18 February 2017 aged 76 and was survived by his wife, Margaret, children and grandchildren including his granddaughter Rebecca Hogg.
