Details
Roland David Stedeford was a consultant surgeon in Barking, East London. He studied medicine at Oxford University and graduated BM BCh in 1956. In London he did house jobs at the West London Hospital and St George’s before becoming joining the staff of the Warnesford Hospital, Leamington Spa as a resident surgical officer. During his career as a consultant in Barking he contributed articles on vagotomy to the surgical literature. A member of the BMA, he retired in 1996 and moved to Chipping Norton in Gloucestershire. He died on 1 November 2017 aged 87 and was survived by his wife, children and grandchildren.
