Practised at 73 Upper Gloucester Place, Dorset Square, London, NW, where he died on March 26th, 1872.

Educated at St Bartholomew's Hospital. He practised at Peckham Rye, SE, at one time in partnership with Maxwell M Masters, MRCS, and later with his son, Paul H Stokoe, MRCS. He died in 1881. His portrait is in the Fellows' Album.

Practised at Ramsgate, where he was Surgeon to the Ramsgate Seamen's Infirmary and to the Margate Royal Sea-Bathing Infirmary. He was a Fellow of the Royal Medico-Chirurgical Society. His death occurred at his residence, Augusta Lodge, Ramsgate, in 1887.
