The youngest of the three children of Augustus Barker, a surgeon practising in Westminster, who married Sarah Anne Wilder at St Anne’s Church, Westminster, on May 8th, 1806. His father was the Rev W H Barker, of Carmarthen. W R H Barker was born on October 17th, 1810, and, his parents dying whilst

Educated at St. Bartholomew's Hospital. He was a member of the British Medical Association and Medical Officer of the Coastguard in the Isle of Wight. He practised at Newport, IOW, and died there on August 10th, 1885.

Educated at University College; he practised first at Louth, Lincolnshire, where he was Surgeon to the General Dispensary, and then at Lillington, Leamington, where he died at his residence, Vor Lodge, on June 30th, 1880. A William Blathwayt was a well-known politician in the time of William III.

Educated at Guy's and St Thomas's Hospitals. He practised at Brixton Hill, and died there, after his retirement, on February 18th, 1886.

Practised in India, at Canton, and finally at Hong Kong, where he died on November 2nd, 1859.

Practised at Warrington Street, Ashton-under-Lyne, where he was Medical Officer of the Union Hospital and of the District Infirmary, also Certifying Factory Surgeon. He died at Ashton-under-Lyne on May 2nd, 1871.

Studied at St Thomas's Hospital, and practised at 40 Quay Street, Newport, Isle of Wight. He was Surgeon to the Royal Isle of Wight Infirmary, to Parkhurst Prison, and to the Isle of Wight Artillery Regiment of Militia. In 1859 he was elected an Alderman of the Borough. He died on October 7th, 1886.

Studied at St Bartholomew's Hospital and practised at Market Street, Cambridge, where he was Surgeon to Addenbrooke's Hospital and to the Gaol. He died on November 3rd, 1875.
