Born in February, 1814, the second son of William Langmore, MD, who at one time practised in Finsbury Square, EC. He was educated at St Paul's School and received part of his professional training at the London Hospital, after which he travelled, chiefly in Italy, as medical attendant to a young man

Born at Stowmarket, the son of the Rev Dr Owen, who was for many years Rector of Beccles in Suffolk, and was educated at Beccles under Mr Crowfoot and at St Bartholomew's Hospital. Settling first in practice at Mattishall, Norfolk, he removed in 1841 to Oxford, where he continued to the time of his

Educated at Edinburgh and the London Hospital. He was at one time Surgeon to the Royal Portsmouth, Portsea, and Gosport Hospital, the Rutland Club, and at the time of his death was Medical Officer to the Portsmouth, Portsea, and Southsea Union House. He resided and practised latterly at Langston Lod

Practised at Uckfield, Sussex, where latterly he was Surgeon to the Uckfield Union Infirmary. He emigrated about 1855 and practised at Casterton, Victoria, Australia, where he died in 1888.

Born on board the flagship of Admiral Hayes, off the island of Java, the eldest son of Colonel Charles Thomas Higgins of the HEIC, then on shore at the time, leading his regiment in the storming of Batavia when it was taken from the French. Hence his second name Hayes. After a succession of schools
