Details:
Born on October 13th, 1781; entered the Army as Surgeon's Mate on November 20th, 1803, was gazetted Assistant Surgeon to the 16th Foot on May 1st, 1805, Surgeon to the 3rd West India Regiment on March 3rd, 1808, was transferred to the 13th Foot on September 26th, 1816, and retired on half pay on November 21st, 1816. He saw active service at Surinam in 1804, at Guadeloupe in 1810, and in the United States in 1814. He died in Liverpool on October 10th, 1846. Publication: Gill apparently published: *Observations on the Medical Appointments of Charitable Institutions, with Remarks on the System of Professional Education*, Liverpool, 1825.
