Born on September 10th, 1819, and joined the Bengal Army as Assistant Surgeon on September 9th, 1842, being promoted to Surgeon on March 21st, 1857, and to Surgeon Major on September 9th, 1862. He retired on October 15th, 1863. His death occurred at Cairo on November 21st, 1892.
