Details:
Entered the Madras Army as Assistant Surgeon on January 6th, 1840, was promoted Surgeon on February 18th, 1857, and Surgeon Major, January 13th, 1860. He saw active service in the South Maratha Country in 1854, and was present at the capture of Forts Nipani and Badami. He retired on April 1st, 1872, and died at The Grange, Kew, on March 18th, 1888.
