His Royal Highness Prince Arthur William Patrick Albert, third son and seventh child of Queen Victoria, was born on 1 May 1850 and was created Duke of Connaught and Strathearn in the birthday honours list of 1874. He was elected an Honorary Fellow of the College on 24 July 1919. His Royal Highness died on 16 January 1942, aged 91.
