Details
Born at Oundle, Northamptonshire, the son of John Mould, in medical practice, who died whilst his son was a child. His mother married secondly the Rev Felix Laurent, Vicar of Saleby, Lincolnshire, and he was educated under his stepfather's superintendence at Afford, Lincolnshire. He was then apprenticed to a practitioner in Northampton, and completed his studies at St George's Hospital. He practised throughout his life at 1 Onslow Crescent, Brompton, London, W, where he was successful with his patients. He served as Member of Council and Vice-President of Epsom College, also as Chairman of the Committee of the British Medical Benevolent Fund, Vice-President of the Society for the Relief of Widows and Orphans, was a regular attendant at Committees, and a Life Governor of St George's Hospital. For over forty years he was Vicar's Churchwarden at Holy Trinity, Brompton. He joined the Volunteers in early days, and took part in many field days with the 2nd Middlesex Rifle Corps, under Lord Ranelagh. As a Member of the British Archaeological Society he regularly attended Provincial Meetings. He was seized with apoplexy four years before his death on October 10th, 1899. He was survived by his wife, daughter of Robert Gray, a well-known practitioner in Brompton, by a son and four daughters.
