Details
Antony Roper was born on 1 February 1920. He studied medicine at Oxford University graduating BM, BCh in 1943 and worked as a registrar at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore. In 1949 he passed the fellowship of the college and travelled to Rhodesia where he became a senior orthopaedic surgeon to the Bulawayo hospital group and head of the sub-department of orthopaedics and senior lecturer at the University of Rhodesia in Salisbury. He was a fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine and a member of the British Medical Association. He was living in Petersfield, Hampshire when he died in 2018.
