Francis Moynihan was an orthopaedic surgeon at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital. He was born on 30 January 1928. He studied medicine at University College Hospital School of Medicine, qualifying in 1951.
He was a house physician and house surgeon at University College Hospital and then a senior house officer at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. Prior to his consultant appointment in Hampshire, he was a senior orthopaedic registrar at Guy’s Hospital, London. He gained his FRCS in 1958.
He died on 25 December 2019 in Salisbury, Hampshire, and was survived by his widow, Anne.
