Details
Rodney Campbell Curry was a consultant surgeon at Belfast City Hospital, Northern Ireland. He was born in Dar es Salaam, Tanganyika, in 1928, the son of William Clive Curry, a land officer, and Louie Eleanor Curry née Biddle. He attended school in the UK, including at East Grinstead, Sussex, and went on to Cambridge University, qualifying with his MB BChir in 1952. He was a house surgeon at Radcliffe Infirmary, Oxford and gained his FRCS in 1961. He went on to become a consultant surgeon at Belfast. He married Gillian Baseden in 1955. They had five children – Patrick, Alex, Tessa, Ben and Ginny. Curry died on 16 March 2020.
