:
Arthur Heaton Haley qualified MB, BCh in 1954 from the University of Wales. He proceeded to pass the diploma in ophthalmology in 1956 and passed the fellowship of the college in 1985. After working as a registrar and senior registrar at the Royal Infirmary in Cardiff, he was appointed a consultant ophthalmological surgeon to the Dyfed area health authority.
He died on 31 January 2022 aged 94.
