Alexander David Hodge was a surgeon who lived in Thames, New Zealand. After graduating MB,ChB in 1948 he passed the fellowship of the college in 1951 and became visiting surgical specialist at the New Plymouth Hospital. He is listed on the *Auckland Museum online Cenotaph* as having served in Vietnam as surgeon and team leader of the New Zealand Civilian Surgical Team, from 5 February 1968 to 11 November 1968.
He died on 29 April 2022.
