Details
Phillip Boyd Wood was a dental surgeon in Sydney, New South Wales. He was born in Sydney on 3 December 1925. His father, Ormond Philip Wood, had served in the First World War. His mother was Kate Dawson Wood née Boyd. Wood enlisted in the Royal Australian Air Force in February 1944 and was demobilised in July 1945. He studied dentistry and went to the UK for further training. He gained his fellowship of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1952 and a year later returned to Sydney. In the 1960s he was a dental surgeon at Bradfield, New South Wales. He married Molly Glenwright Blayney in 1950. Wood died on 22 September 2010. He was 84.
