Details
Alton Donald Macalister was a professor of oral surgery at the Otago Dental School, New Zealand. He was born on 2 July 1924 and attended King’s College, Auckland. He went on to study dentistry, gained a DDS and his fellowship of the faculty of dental surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1970. He co-wrote *General anaesthetic and sedation techniques for dentistry* (Bristol, John Wright and Sons Ltd, 1971). He was awarded a CBE in 1985 for services to oral surgery and the community. The Royal College of Surgeons of England was notified of his death in 2004.
