Details
Educated at Guy's and the London Hospitals. After qualifying he went out to Mauritius, where he was Surgeon to the Small-pox Hospital and Quarantine Establishment. Later he was Surgeon at the Hastings Dispensary, and then for many years practised at 80 Gloucester Terrace, Hyde Park, W. He died on June 5th, 1889. His photograph is in the Fellows' Album. Publication: "History of an Epidemic of Small-pox in the Mauritius in 1840." - *Lond. Jour. Of Med.*, 1852, iv, 38.
