Details
Educated at St George's Hospital and the University of Glasgow. At St George's he was entered as a twelve-months pupil of Robert Keate (qv) on October 3rd, 1821. He became a Surgeon in the Royal Navy, his warrant being dated December 23th, 1827, and served on board HMS *Ringdove* in 1829 and HMS *Drina* in 1834. In 1849 he was still on the Active List, but in 1861 he was in practice at Exeter. He died at Red Hill, Surrey, on December 3rd, 1874.
