Details
Studied at Guy's and St Thomas's Hospitals, and practised at Exeter, where he was Surgeon to the West of England Institution for the Blind; Surgeon, and later Brigade Surgeon, to the Devon Volunteer Artillery; Medical Officer of Health for Exeter, and to the Corporation of the Poor; Surgeon to the Devon and Exeter Refuge for Discharged Prisoners, and to the Humane Society; and Examining Surgeon for the Royal Navy. He practised at various addresses, became the oldest of Exeter surgeons, and died on January 28th, 1898.
