Details
Born 7 June 1865, the fifth child and second son of Henry Tregellas Noble, chemist, and his wife, *née* Dennis. He was educated at Tavistock and in London, and took his medical training at St Mary's and St Bartholomew's Hospitals, qualifying at the age of thirty-six. He served as clinical assistant at the Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond Street, and Clinical assistant in the dermatological department at St Mary's, and was senior house surgeon at the Great Northern Central Hospital, London. He settled in practice at Oldham, Lancashire in partnership with Dr T D C Ross, and was appointed assistant surgeon to the Royal Infirmary there. In 1919 he moved to Yelverton, Devon, and retired in 1925 to Trevaunance, Barton Cross, Torquay. Doble married in 1905. He died at Torquay on 28 December 1946, aged 80, survived by his wife and daughter.
