Details
Educated at McGill University, Montreal, graduating in 1931, he came to London for postgraduate study at St Bartholomew's Hospital, and took the Fellowship in 1939. He served throughout the war of 1939-45, reaching the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. Returning to Canada he was appointed associate surgeon at the Montreal General Hospital and Assistant Professor of Surgery at McGill. He was a consultant to the Reddy Memorial Hospital and St Mary's Hospital, but his main post was as surgeon-in-chief to Queen Mary's Veterans Hospital. He died on 9 January 1963, aged 55, survived by his wife and two daughters.
