Details
David Vincent Evans was born on 27 December 1920 and studied medicine at the London Hospital, taking the MB BS in 1944 and the FRCS in 1948. After house appointments at the Royal Free Hospital and the London Hospital he became senior surgical registrar at the London, and held a similar post at Guy's Hospital. Eventually he became consultant surgeon to the South-East Kent hospitals. Evans was an active member of the British Medical Association; he was Chairman of the Folkestone and Dover division from 1967 to 1970 and President of the Kent branch from 1972 till his death. In 1974 he was elected a Fellow of the British Medical Association. He was married and had a son and a daughter. He died on 9 February 1977.
