Details
Mohammad Shahid Hossain Khan was a consultant surgeon at the North West Armed Forces Hospital in Tabuk, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Born on 18 January 1947, he graduated MB BS in Dacca in 1969 and travelled to the UK where he did house jobs at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King’s Lynn. Passing the fellowship of the college in 1979, he worked as a locum consultant in general surgery at the Barnsley District General Hospital. On his return to Bangladesh he became an associate professor at the Bangladesh Medical College in Dhaka. Subsequently he moved to Saudi Arabia where he was a consultant surgeon at the Riyadh Central Hospital before moving to Tabuk. He was a member of the BMA and of the Medical Protection Society. He died on 14 August 2016.
