Details
Educated at St Mary's Hospital, he qualified as war broke out, served in the RAMC in charge of the surgical division of a General Hospital, was mentioned in dispatches and rose to the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. After a term as resident surgical officer at St Peter's Hospital for Stone and then as assistant in the surgical unit at St Mary's Hospital, he settled in practice at 9 New Road Avenue, Chatham and was surgeon to the Medway and Gravesend Hospitals group. He was an Associate Member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons. Stanley lived at 70 Tonbridge Road, Maidstone and died on 23 August 1964 aged 49.
