Details
Michael Lyell Haddon Lee was born in St Anne’s-on-Sea, Lancashire on 3 May 1934. He studied medicine at Oxford University, graduating MB,ChB in 1947. After working as an assistant in the accident services at the Radcliffe Hospital and the Nuffield department of orthopaedic surgery at the University, he became an orthopaedic registrar at Cardiff Royal Infirmary. He passed the fellowship of the college in 1955 and was appointed consultant orthopaedic surgeon for the Bournemouth and East Dorset group of hospitals. He was a fellow of the British Orthopaedic Association. He died on 7 March 2018 aged 93 and was survived by his wife, Joy, children, Martin and Jo, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
