Details
Born at Caine, where his father was Vicar, in 1793. He was apprenticed to Mr Corfe, surgeon at Southampton, and then studied at Guy's and St Thomas's Hospitals. He entered into partnership with Dr Brickenden at Horsleydown, and later succeeded to the whole practice. He was one of the original members of the Hunterian Society. After some years of ill health he died at Blackheath on November 22nd, 1871.
