Details:
Julian Gerald Sallis *Gerry* qualified in medicine MB, ChB from the University of Cape Town, South Africa in 1932 and worked for a while as a medical officer at the Addington Hospital in Durban. Travelling to the UK, he became a medical officer at St George’s Hospital, London and passed the fellowship of the college in 1958.
Eventually he moved to the USA and practiced as an orthopaedic surgeon in the Bronx, New York. He died on 20 March 2008 survived by his wife, Mina daughters, Dorit, Petra and Leora and their families.
