Percy Alfred Paramasingham Joseph was a surgeon in Sri Lanka. His father Daniel Endymeon Ponnathurai Joseph was an inspector in the department of health, Kandy municipality, Ceylon. His mother was Margaret Grace Annamah Virakiam.
He gained his fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1953 and returned to Colombo in 1954.
He married Pamela Ratnasothy Hoole in 1947. They had three children – Ingrid, Shereen and Trevor. Joseph died on 12 December 1994.
