Details:
Ruth Margaret Hickson née Robinson studied medicine at London University and the Royal Free Hospital, graduating MB, BS in 1951. She joined the staff of Bristol Royal Infirmary as a senior house surgeon in the professorial unit and then returned to the Royal Free as a surgical registrar and house surgeon. Gaining her FRCS in 1956, she was appointed to the West Midlands Regional Health Authority as a specialist in orthopaedics.
For most of her time in the West Midlands she was living in Stoke on Trent, but when she died on 3 August 2021 she was apparently living in Coventry.
