Details:
David Dryhurst Foster was born on 15 September 1924. He studied medicine at Birmingham University, graduating MB, ChB in 1953. He and his wife Jill emigrated to Essex, Ontario in 1962, where he became a well-respected general surgeon practicing up to the age of 65. Until shortly after his 80th birthday he continued to work as a traditional family doctor.
He died at home on 3 January 2017 aged 92, survived by his wife and children Elizabeth (married to Wayne Albus), Paul (Jenifer), Jane (Peter Patiakas), Gail Teskey (Terry), and Stephen. He was also survived by his grandchildren Samantha Mulcaster (Adam), Julia, Holly, Jillian, Grace, Lucas, David, Emma, Olivia, Jacob, Lauren, and Cole and great grandson Jude David.
