Details:
Stephen Michael Jones studied medicine at Birmingham University and graduated MB, ChB in 1966. He worked as a registrar at the Frenchay Hospital in Bristol and then at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Swindon. Passing the fellowship of the college in 1971, he became a surgical registrar at the Bristol Royal Infirmary. Eventually he was appointed a consultant vascular surgeon at the Taunton and Somerset Hospital, which closed in 1986 and became the Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton.
He died at the Bristol Heart Institute on 20 April 2022, aged 79, survived by his wife, Paddy, children Caroline, Rob and Helen and grandchildren, Kate, Lucy, Jack, Lily, Alice, Anna and Ruth.
