Details:
John Dillwyn Evans studied medicine at Manchester University and graduated MB, ChB in 1950. Starting as a surgical registrar at the Crumpsall Hospital in Manchester, he then began to specialise in orthopaedics as a registrar at the Withington Hospital. He passed the fellowship of the college in 1962. After a spell as a senior registrar at the Manchester Royal Infirmary, he was appointed consultant orthopaedic surgeon to the University Hospital of South Manchester and Wythenshawe and the North Cheshire group of hospitals.. He was a fellow of the Manchester Medical Society.
