Maurice Harold Holden was a consultant oral surgeon at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. He was born on 10 January 1937. His mother’s maiden name was Fielding. He gained his fellowship of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1964 and a diploma in implant dentistry in 2010.
In 1963 he married Maureen Page. They had two sons, Richard and Michael. Predeceased by his wife, Holden died on 7 January 2018 in St John’s Hospice, Doncaster. He was 80.
