Frederick James Hile (‘Jim’) Evans was a consultant oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Whipps Cross Hospital, London. He was born in Bridgend, Glamorgan on 16 November 1942, the son of Frank George Evans and Enid M Evans née Hile. He studied medicine at the University of Wales and qualified as a doctor in 1971.
He gained his fellowship of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1974. He was appointed as a consultant at Whipps Cross Hospital and also to St Margaret’s Hospital, Epping.
Evans died on 23 January 2018; his death was reported to the College by his wife.
