Gordon Brian Summersgill was a consultant oral and maxillofacial surgeon from Worcester. He was born in 1927 in Bramley, Leeds, the son of Hilda Maud Summersgill née Hook and Thomas Cyril Summersgill.
He studied dentistry at the University of Leeds and qualified in 1950. He became a fellow of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1957. He was a member of the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
In 1951 he married Glenise M Broadbent. Summersgill died on 29 March 2019 at the age of 91.
