Robert Alan Jewers Mayhew was a dental surgeon from Hexham, Northumberland. He was born in London on 9 January 1923, the son of Robert Henry Jewers Mayhew, a surveyor, and Cissie Louise Mayhew née Easton. He studied dentistry and qualified in 1947. He became a fellow of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1955.
Mayhew died on 27 February 2019. He was 96. His last known address was in Hexham, Northumberland.
