Practised at 'Broomfield' and 7, Marine Terrace, Herne Bay, where he was in partnership with John Bowes. He died at the former residence on December 30th, 1863.

Educated at King's College, London. At the time of his death he was Surgeon to the London and North-Western Railway Company's works at Crewe, and a member of the Crewe Archaeological Society. He died on September 10th, 1865, at his residence, Westbank, Crewe, Cheshire.
