Born in November, 1806, the only son of Henry Jackson, a distinguished surgeon of Sheffield; he was himself well educated and followed his father as a prominent surgeon in large practice in Sheffield. Was chiefly educated at Guy's and St Thomas's Hospitals. He practiced throughout his life at 3 Nelson Street, Hull (known latterly as Nelson Avenue), and was at one time Surgeon to the Police and Workhouse, and at a later date District Vaccinator. Was for a short period an Unconvenanted Medical Officer in Bengal. He was gazetted Civil Medical Officer of Moorshedabad in 1846. There is no note of when he left India. Educated at University College, London, he practiced at Sevenoaks with George Kelson and died there on April 17th. His portrait is in the Fellows' Album.

Was Surgeon to the Halifax Infirmary and Certifying Factory Surgeon. He died at Carlton Place, Halifax, on August 30th, 1855.

William Edmund Image, born in 1807, of French Huguenot extraction, was apprenticed to John Greene Crosse of Norwich, then studied at Guy's Hospital and in Paris, where he graduated Bachelier ès Lettres.
