Was at one time Senior Surgeon to the Swansea Infirmary. He resided afterwards at Ardwick Gardens, Manchester, and died at Eaux Bonnes, Basses Pyrenées, on July 15th, 1856.

Educated at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, and practised at Cinderford, East Dean, Gloucestershire, at the Vicarage, Christow, Exeter, at Wattisfield, Diss, Suffolk, where he retired, and he finally resided at Oldham. He died on January 26th, 1892. Publications: “The Treatment of Diphtheria.” – *Med.

Was at the time of his death Senior Surgeon to the Sheffield Public Hospital. He had also been Surgeon to the Public Dispensary. He practised at Upper Gell Street, Sheffield, and died on November 9th, 1874.

Educated at Manchester and afterwards at Guy’s Hospital. He was Surgeon to the Salford Workhouse. He resided and practised at 4 The Crescent, Salford, Lancs, and died there on March 26th, 1863.

Born on board the flagship of Admiral Hayes, off the island of Java, the eldest son of Colonel Charles Thomas Higgins of the HEIC, then on shore at the time, leading his regiment in the storming of Batavia when it was taken from the French. Hence his second name Hayes. After a succession of schools
